What are your working hours?

Our normal working hours are monday to Friday from 9am until 6pm.  We do sometimes work outside of these hours when requested.

When I called why didn't anyone answer the phone?

At the moment the office is staffed intermittently during the day, the phone may be diverted to a mobile but as we are paid for the time we work we don't take any calls whilst we are working.  Our aim is to return any calls the same day and within 4 hours if they are left before 6pm and the next morning if they are left after 6pm.

So please leave a message giving your name and number and we will call you back shortly.

What time will you turn up?

We can offer you two types of service, a  time window or a call when we are going to be there (eg one hour before)

How quickly can you come?

We can normally be with you in a couple of days, it is sometimes possible to be with you the same day depending on the schedule.  Generally we don't carry out emergency work.

Do you service boilers?

No.  We don't employ any gas safe registered engineers but we do have some good contacts so please feel free to contact us.

Can you carry out new wiring?

No.  We are skilled handymen who can do a wide range of jobs but we limit electrical work to replacement work.  We don't carry out any new wiring (eg completely new plug socket or light fitting)  We can replace lights, plugsockets, dimmer switches etc.

Can you undertake larger jobs?

We specialise in jobs taking half an hour to a couple of days.  For larger general building work we recommend using specialsit contractors

Are you a member of any  trade organisation or guild?

No we aren't members of any specialist guild or trade organisation.  We do believe they provide some protection for consumers but if you provide good service and excellent quality workmanship then there should never be any need to get a third party involved.  Aligning yourself with an association or guild creates more expenses and administration, time and money which we believe is better spent on servicing our customers

Who are your customers?

Our customers are residential, commercial, landlords and tenants

How much do you charge?

Our standard charge is £15 per half hour and £15  call out charge

Cancellation Fees?

Our minimum fee applies for cancellations made within 24 hours

Payment Methods?

Our preferred payment method is cheque.  We do accept cash but carry a limited amount of change.  We are currently looking at the cost implications of card transactions.

We fix, fit, hang, install, repair, assemble, grout, and other small plumbing, electrical, decorating and carpentry work.
