Being prepared is the key....

• Write your 'to do' list
• Purchase everything that you want fitted
• Your handyman carries a range of fixings but if you require specialist fixings they can be purchased beforehand (anything we don't use can always be returned)
• Have anything that you want fitted or assembled in the room where it will finally be
• Potentially a pencil mark on the wall at the height where anything will be hung
• If you think we may need step ladders have them at the ready
• A clear work area for anything that needs to be assembled
• Clearing spaces that may need to be accessed (eg under the stairs if we may need to turn the power off, under the sink if we are fixing a leak)
• Finally we will want to clear up any mess that we have made so a vacuum cleaner to hand could be useful

Of course our handymen are happy to purchase materials, move items to their correct location, move furniture to make room for assembly and empty cupboards for access.
