BBC Radio 5 ‘Live’

After a short selection process Paul Waller from was chosen to appear on BBC Radio 5 to answer people’s DIY questions live on air. The first show was the Easter Bank Holiday weekend on the 9th April 2012. This show was initially booked as a one off because of the number of people carrying out DIY on the Bank Holiday weekend. Due to its success, Paul made several other appearances that year, then again in 2013, and now into its third year. Paul has broadcast from a number of different locations, initially at Broadcasting House, more recently at New Broadcasting House in Portland Place and from around the World via Skype. The most interesting phone in via skype was from South Florida hours before the hurricane was going to pass through. Not only was Paul giving DIY advice but also providing up to date information about the impending storm.

With family commitments Paul now works ad hoc mornings as a handyman, carries out some administration and runs the training programme for our alliance of handymen.
