“Mike telephoned soon after he was due to arrive to let me know he had been delayed and would be arriving in about 45 minutes' time. Friendly and straightforward manner, did not cause me any inconvenience. As all the work took place out of doors, it was easy to keep within Covid-secure guidelines. Mike managed to remove existing chipped and broken quarry tiles from surface of stone doorstep (no mean feat!) and replace them with matching spare tiles already to hand, achieving a neat and perfect new step! He placed broken tiles and debris in sturdy black bag, left with me for disposal.”

The workmanship is perfect as far as I can tell. This was one of several repairs that Clive has carried out at my house, and all the work he has done has been excellent. He asked me beforehand to order the hinges myself, having recommended a good company to source them from, so the materials were ready for him when he arrived to start work. I was also required to dispose of the broken hinges myself, since I was able to do so. Clive is good company, pleasant to have around, and takes a genuine interest in his clients and their safety. I would highly recommend his workmanship.”

It was a very wet and windy day but Clive and his workmate Terry worked carefully and thoughtfully - for instance, the shed was supplied without a door catch (just a plate for a lock) so they made a door catch off their own bat. Clever work with the water butt guttering too. The supplier wouldn't deliver to my allotment, so the handymen also had to take the shed in parts to my allotment. This was also done with care and without mishap. Quite a big project but everything done cheerfully and to my satisfaction - thanks!”
