The easiest location for a new garden tap is on a wall that backs onto an existing supply such as a kitchen sink. You would want to avoid long runs outside due to freezing in the winter. Contact us with your requirements and we can get the installation booked in.

Dripping Garden Taps

The most economic solution for a dripping garden tap is often just to replace the tap. Taps with a double check valve fail because of freezing during the winter months if they are not drained down. Dripping taps often don’t improve and can create ground issues such as washing away of fines or heave both of which can lead to the unsettling of your house foundation.

Replacement Garden Taps

No problems with replacement taps often replaced when your existing tap is just hard to turn on and off. Just let us know if you have the new tap or if you would like your handyman to provide this.

How Long?

Turning off the water can sometimes be the most time consuming part of this job. Knowing where your stop valve is and having it accessible can speed this up. This may be beneath the sink, outside the front of your house or other odd locations especially if your house has been extended at some time.

If your stop valve doesn’t move, think about spraying it with some penetrating oil before the visit. We are able to free up most exposed corroded valves.
