Fix dripping Tap

Fix dripping Tap

Dripping Taps will often cause an unsightly limescale build up around the tap itself or whatever it’s dripping onto. Dripping taps rarely improve and deterioration can often be rapid especially on rubber seals. Drips can be caused by worn or deteriorated traditional rubber washers, cracked or scored ceramic valves or worn o-rings (normally on swivel kitchen taps).

Don’t be caught out on a bank holiday weekend paying for emergency plumbers – look to get your drip fixed ASAP.

How Long

How Long?

Turning off the water can sometimes be the most time consuming part of this job. Knowing where your stop valve is and having it accessible can speed this up. This may be beneath the sink, outside the front of your house or other odd locations especially if your house has been extended at some time.

If your stop valve doesn’t move, think about spraying it with some penetrating oil before our visit. We are able to free up most exposed corroded valves. Some standard repairs can take as little as 30 minutes.
